Last Monday morning, we got the RV packed up and headed out of Monument Valley. We were a few days ahead of schedule because we didn’t stay at Zion, and we weren't stuck on the original plan about driving east through Durango on our way to Colorado Springs because of two steep mountain passes that Jeff isn’t wild about driving over. I can’t blame him. So after spending some time looking at maps and our Mountain Director West, we decided to skip Mesa Verde and Durango and instead, head south to Santa Fe. We would still go to the Four Corners National Monument so Jeff could do Downward Dog in four states at once, but after that, we would head south into New Mexico.
